The Strategy

About the strategy

In its 2011 multicultural policy, The People of Australia, the Australian Government committed to develop and implement a National Anti-Racism Strategy.

The Strategy has been developed through a partnership led by the Australian Human Rights Commission.

The partnership includes the Australian Human Rights Commission, the Attorney-General's Department, the Department of Social Services, the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet, the Federation of Ethnic Communities’ Councils of Australia and the National Congress of Australia’s First Peoples.

The development of the Strategy was informed by a broad consultation process.
